We all have a preppy friend. One that loves plaid, stripes, monograms, chino’s, and button down’s. I can rock some preppy looks. When I passed C. Wonder on my 22,000 steps around New York (legit number from my Nike Fuel Band), I saw the store and had to go in. It’s so colorful and fun, it just draws you in. It was preppy meets whimsy. C. Wonder was started by Chris Burch, ex-husband of Tory Burch. They are currently in an ugly legal dispute. A lot of people, Tory included, think that his brand is a little too close to the mother ship. To be honest though, I thought C.Wonder had a different esthetic, and it has a more affordable price point than Tory Burch. Anyway, I loved the accessories and I think I’m semi-obsessed with the plaid sequin pencil skirt (just trying to come up with a place to wear it). I thought the reversible leather belts ($48) with the Letter Belt Buckle would be an awesome gift but you couldn’t go wrong with the stationary or a nylon purse.
